Yellow Introduces The Work Number For It's Employees
This is a free benefit offered by Yellow Freight System, Inc.
09.20.2002 - The Work Number is an automated service that provides instant employment and income verification and W-2 reprints. This fast, secure service is used when applying for a mortgage or loan, for reference checking, leasing an apartment or any other instance where proof of employment or income is needed. You benefit from having control of the process - authorizing others access to your information.
Here at RoadDrivers.Org we gave it a try. We only found one glitch to the program. When inserting a social security number, the flyer instructed us to insert dash marks between numerals. The Work Number service directed us not to insert dashes.
We requested a copy of a w-2 from tax year 2001 and it provided it instantly in PDF format at no cost. In the fee request area, the words  "This is a free benefit offered by Yellow Freight System, Inc." appeared.
To the right is a copy of the flyer Yellow is circulating to employees. It provides step by step detailed instructions for the different forms of uses. Print the flyer for future reference or book mark this page.
