| This is in reference to the letter that
Mrs. Wilson wrote about the so called murder of her sister.
I was one of the officers who was dispatched to Pam Rodgers
residence on a complaint of a foul oder being called in by
the neibor, As I recall there was a very decomposed body
lying face down in the floor. I also recall
there were several attempts made by the Sheriff's office to
contact the D.A. Office with no response from them. And when
the Sates Medical Examiner arrived and investigated ALONG with
the deputies they found NO evidence of foul
play the body was turned over to the funeral home of your
choice I also remeber you telling the deputy that
she had a drinking and drug problem. Well Mrs. here is a
suggestion for you and your 22 year vetran brother, look in
the mirror and ask yourself why did I let my sister lye dead
in the floor for several days without checking on her. Seems
to me like you failed her not the sheriffs office, I know
this may hurt you but is'nt it the truth? Face the facts it
was an unattended death, NOT A MURDER. |

Dear
Mr. Buxton,
In
no way did I imply that Johnny Modrell has 7 DUI's. Those
were all random truths that I stated. If
you read the article, as you also state, it is
obvious that I am talking about Mr. Burns.
As
far as a stand up guy goes, maybe I am wrong in saying it
the way I did. I do not know Johnny or his family.
But I do know of Johnny. In saying that I must agree
that we should not be judged on a few of our actions.
Mrs. McAdoo,
You
say I added salt to your husbands wound as if I myself had
cut him. What wound are you referring to? He
is the one who commited the crime.
In
order to heal and move forward you should probably sever
your ties with this community. Something like this
will never be forgot. As soon as you turn your back
people will be saying, "Is that the guy who stole all
that money from the Y." It is human nature.
Besides, I believe the healing you are referring to is
more in reference to yourself. If that is what you
are looking for then you need to quit seeking sights such
as this one and as you stated, "move forward."
You can not move forward by always looking backward.
Bottom
line is while staying in this community you will not truly
ever be able to move on. It may be months, years or
longer but this subject will always pop up. Your
husband did not get caught stealing bubble gum. He
was caught embezzling 30,000.
You
said, "Don't act like you have concern for these
peoples friends, families and this community when you only
have your own interest in mind." Then you go on
to say, "I feel sorry for all of you who have nothing
better to do than to continue to hurt these peoples
families." Sounds a bit hypocritical to me.
Now you feel sorry for the people who voice there opinions
on issues that effect the community and for hurting your
family.
You
need to get something straight in your head, I did not
hurt your family, your husband did. You should be
guiding whatever anger you feel to, "All of (us) who
have nothing better to do," towards your husband.
He put you in this situation. Like it or not, your
husband is the one who drove you in this direction.
By
the way, what interest do you think I have? You act
as if I am running for a political seat.
If
lying and stealing are on the same level then your husband
should win two gold medals in the lying and stealing games.
When you steal 30,000 from the YMCA, what kind
of thougts are going through your head? I don't
think that any of the following mission statement was,
"Puts Christian principles into practice through
programs that build healthy body, mind, and spirit for
all."
I
have no real ties to any of these issues except that they
are taking place in the community I am trying to raise my
children. Hmmm, maybe that means I do have an
interest.

I would like to express to Mrs. Wilson that I
am sorry for the loss of her sister Pam Rogers. However, I was
one of the deputies that responded to your sisters home when she
was found to be deceased. She had been deceased for several
days. As I recall, when I spoke to you at the scene, you told me
about all of your sisters health issues. You stated she had drug
and alcohol problems and you stated she use to work for you, but
you couldnt keep her around with the problems she had. You
stated that it was written off as a drug case gone bad. That is
not true. Yes, drugs were found at the scene, prescription
drugs, and lots of them. We found several pills with teeth
marks, which would indicate she tried to take too many at one
time and possibly choked on them. We will never know. You stated
the DA was not called, not true again. I made several calls to
inform a representative of the DAs office as to what we had and
no one returned my call. You stated that the Sheriff refused to
let you identify the body. Not true again. I am the one that
spoke to you and your husband and told you that, due to the
decomposition of your sister, it made her unidentifiable. Your
sister had been deceased for several days and I told you it
would be best to remember her the way she was when she was
alive. ME Brian Louch came to the scene and did his
investigation. He saw no signs of foul play. You stated no
autopsy was done. Maybe the reason for not doing an autopsy was
that when the body was viewed at the MEs office, they found no
evidence of gunshot wounds, stab wounds, or blunt force trauma
to any part of her body. The MEs office does a fine job at what
they do and they informed us that no foul play existed. The
scene did not reveal any signs of a struggle, nothing appeared
to be out of place. As far as missing items that you thought she
had in her possession, we will never know who took them or
whether she even still had them. I personally gave you your
sisters purse that was next to the couch where she was found. I
believe the purse had money in it, that you showed me. If
someone was going to murder your sister and take items from her
house, then why leave the purse with money in it? As far as
pictures, I dont know what pictures you are referring to,
because we dont release pictures. If there was any indication
that your sister died from foul play, a thorough investigation
would have taken place. Even though the Sheriffs Office and the
District Attorneys Office has its differences, they still do a
good job on prosecuting cases on facts based on evidence.
Sincerely, Lt. Locke, Grady Co Sheriffs
Office

| This is for Ms KW Roundup, |
| First of all, I can and will
cross the county line if I have enough information
to do so. First name, height and hair color is not
enough information to cross the county line,
hang out at a casino, waste the taxpayers money, to
look for a so called woman named Thelma. I
worked the case for over two weeks and had no
information to go by, other than Thelma. I checked
out the motels that you told me to check and I
called all the numbers that you provided me. It's
hard to convict Thelma for heresay. The deputies
that worked the unattended death of your sister
tried several times to make contact with the on call
D.A., the Medical Examiner was called to the scene,
they took pictures of the scene and residence and
then released it to the Medical Examiner. There was
no sign of foul play. This was a simple unattended
death. I am sorry for the loss of your sister and
know that you are looking for answers as to why, but
pointing fingers and accusing me of not doing my job
is not going to get any one anywhere. |
Sincerely,
So Called Detective
Laffoon

| Thank you very much for reporting the unequal
justice re: District Attorney Burns flouting the
law. I hope the citizens of three counties will rise
up and see to it that Burns is not only disbarred,
but prosecuted for his seeming crimes.
But, I must tell you that as a citizen of Caddo
county I am not optimistic about anything
happening as all sorts of misdeeds have apparently
occurred in our county and in the city of
Anadarko without any outcry of the citizenry.
As I told one of the reporters on the Anadarko
Daily News, which by the way has been in the
forefront of exposing improprieties, I have almost
lost faith in the power of the press to effect
change. I am reminded of Niemoller's comment on
how the Nazis took over Germany, namely, that good
people did nothing and that was all that was
necessary for evil to flourish.
If the citizenry continues to be indifferent to
what some law officials do, then as you said in
your article, Camille, we deserve the kind of
government we get and have no one to blame but
ourselves.

It's funny how you
can embezzle 30 grand from the YMCA and get on
here and try to stand on some kind of high
ground. One fact that is right is you are
a thief that stole 30 grand from the YMCA.
Is that truth enough for you? Shouldn't
you be running and hiding in full disgrace?
Is there anything worse than a thief?
I read the article
and realized right away that there were some
truths, some half truths, misunderstandings and
possibly some lies.
Some
truths I know:
In Oklahoma Non Indian Casino Gaming machines
that payout are illegal. If 30,000 in
embezzlement gets you 120 hours of community
service (regardless of who prosecuted) then
700 dollars worth of embezzlement should get you
2.8 hours of community service and 22,000
dollars worth of embezzlement should get you 88
hours of community service...do the math.
Richard Cochran is not a stand up guy but
neither is Johnny Moddrell. 7 DUI's should
put you in prison... for a long, long, long
time.
A question for Mr.
Burns, if that indeed was you who replied: Which
accusations were false?
I feel pity for all
of you, the DA, the thief, the three drunks, the
other thief, the Sheriff. Most of all I
feel sympathy for your families and friends
who you have no doubt betrayed in the worst kind
of way. How could you put yourselves in
such awful situations where you end up betraying
your families, your friends and your
communities. Why can't you be decent
enough to accept responsibility for your
actions? Repeat after me, "I am
responsible for my actions." You all
need to get your life together. Everyone
mentioned in this article should be a rock solid
pillar in the community.
As biased as this
article may be you need to read articles from
here and from the Chickasha newspaper as they
are just as biased the other way. So my
advice is read both, keep an open mind and make
your own opinion based on fact.
As for me, I am
still developing my opinion. There are to
many twisted stories out there to form a true
opinion. It's way to hard to call it as
you see it when everyone is giving you a
kaleidoscope for binoculars.

Dear Mr. James
Morrison:
I appreciated your opinions stated
in the Grady County Gazette. I believe they were
well thought out and well stated.
However, I respectfully summit, the way
your article was written, implied Johnny
Moddrell has 7 DUI's, which is not true. I believe
you were referring to Mr. Burns senior, who does
have several DUI's, however, it was not
clear to those who do not know.
Also, I believe Johnny Moddrell is
a stand up guy. I have known Johnny Moddrell for
seven years. I met him shortly after his family
moved from Edmond to Chickasaw. He actually lent
Mr. Cochran $100.00, at the casino, the
very night he was attacked, in his own driveway, by
Mr. Cochran. This information came from a
casino security guard who was on duty that
night. His name is Jamie Threadgill and you
are more than welcome to check with him.
The ONLY witness to the altercation, the
driver of the vehicle they were riding in, was
NOT allowed to testify to this fact, at Mr.
Moddrell's preliminary hearing. The
driver was subpoenaed by the DA....why
was he NOT allowed to testify?
HMMMMMMMMMM
Best regards,
John Buxton

Mr.Danielson,
If you are so concerned about how this has
affected these peoples families then why do you and
others continue to add salt to the wounds. How are
these people to heal and move forward with their lives
when people like you and Camille continue to slander
and hurt the same people that you say you feel sorry
for.
Oh and by the way my husband did accept
responsibility for his actions and is trying to get
his life together. It is a little hard when people
like you keep drudging up the past to make what point?
Don't act like you have concern for these peoples
friends, families and this community when you only
have your own interest in mind.
A liar ranks right up there with a thief so don't
think you are on any higher ground Ms.Camille if that
is truly your name. A slander suit may be coming your
way.
I feel sorry for all of you who have nothing
better to do than to continue to hurt these peoples
families.

If you are going to write an
article at least know the facts. Bret Burns who is not the
first cousin but the sixth did recuse himself from the
case and so did the grady county judge. The D.A. that
prosecuted was from Woodward and the judge was from Caddo
county. The judge ordered the restitution be paid to the
Grady County DA fund. It was not by choice. Just because
you don't like the D.A. and you are an Elks memeber
doesn't mean you can print false statements about a case
you obviously know little about!
