The Grady County Gazette is in receipt of a six
page document titled "Petition for Impaneling the Grand
Jury". The document was recently received with a cover letter
indicating it being a felony for anyone to sign the petition for
the convening of a grand jury with any name other than his own.

In the petition, it references Section 18 of
article II of the Oklahoma Constitution for the proposed
impaneling of a grand jury to convene in Grady County for the
purpose of conducting a thorough, complete and independent
investigation to discover any violations of Oklahoma Law involving
the alleged criminal activity and neglect of duty of the District
Attorney, Bret Burns, while employed as the Assistant District
Attorney and as the District Attorney in and for Grady County
Oklahoma, and in addition, to investigate any and all other
matters called to the attention of the Grand Jury.

The petition further states that should a
person sign , they are alleging that Mr. Bret Burns has been
guilty of the following while in his office in the following
particulars:

| a.) Neglect of duty. |
| b.) Operating a motor
vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other
intoxicants. |
| c.) Sexual assault and
battery. |
| d.) Providing alcohol to
minors |
| e.) Illegal gambling. |
| f.) Embezzlement. |
| g.) Failure to perform
the duties |
| g.) Any other matter
called to the attention of the grand jury. |

The District Attorney, Bret Burns was eMailed
this report prior to it's publishing for his review and to allow
any comment. Mr. Burns is yet to respond.
