District
Attorney, Bret Burns, sent out subpoenas to 67 people over this
past week for the jury trial of Robert Cacy and Helen McMullen.
According to the subpoena, the trial was suppose to occur on
October 1, 2007. Mr. Burns jumped the gun a bit on this as the
defense attorneys involved had not been notified by either the
Judge or the District Attorney’s Office of this date for
trial, not to mention that there are still several motions out
there that need to be heard prior to the commencement of a jury
trial.
